This is one of my favorite sushi spots. They have a variety of rolls and some are even names after the Northridge! I like how fresh the rolls come out in and the service is excellent.
We went during their lunch specials. One roll (9.95), prices vary, and it comes with a Salad, Miso Soup, and a drink! Great prices if you ask me. One roll is usually enough to fill me up, especially with salad and soup added to the mix; it was enough for me.
They also have happy hour for rolls and drinks/cocktails which are really good and get you feeling pretty good ;)
Please check this place out. It's definitely a college environment but the food is great and it doesn't get too busy. -

Party of 8 so it's understandable why the food took so long. The teriyaki beef was overcooked so it was hard to chew. The handrolls were a little bland, it could have used a furikaki for more flavor. The tempura was a bit undercooked, the broccoli was a bit more sweaty and cold. It could have been frozen.
The food is great for non sushi lovers. This is borderline American-Japanese food. Bento boxes and the rest of the menu is a little high for the area. I didn't expect that price for a spot close to a college.
The physical aspect of the location is positive. Modern with several large televisions for game night. It's great for groups and alcoholic beverage. -

If you like your sushi makers to be plastered and lack the sanitary protocol, this is the place for you. We sat at the sushi bar, did the all you can eat , and had to order with the guy there that was clearly 3+ sheets under. We had to give our order 4 different times to him, and he still gives us the wrong roll. He was more busy flirting with the girls at the corner and taking shots with them, holding their hands, and then moving back to the sushi with dirty hands.
We then just had another guy start making our sushi cause we were over the dirtiness and drunkenness of this guy.
The one star is for the wait staff and new sushi maker we had. The wait staff was friendly they would come over and make sure everything was okay. The sushi was alright, I've had better other places.
I'm all for having fun and maybe having a shot or two with your customers but when you get that shit faced and are in charge of food at a seafood place, no thanks, he should of been sent home. There should be a limit! -

I gave it 2 stars because the food is good but the service is the worst I ever encountered.
The waitress is just chatting with the chef while people are waiting for their food.
And when the chef is not chatting with the server he's watching the game on the big screen in front of him. When I finally got my food 20 minutes later it was the wrong order because the waitress was not paying attention. The chef apologized and took it back to make the right one while still watching the game. You'd think he'd go faster and forego the game to make the right order. If I wasn't so hungry by that time I was ready to walk out.
The last time I was here with my wife. We placed our order would you believe with the same waitress.
My wife got her order but I didn't. I asked the waitress a couple of times how much longer my order will take and each time she told me it's almost ready. My wife finished her food and that's when the waitress came back to the table to tell me that she was very sorry but my order did not print on the receipt so it was not made. In other words she lied each time I asked her how long it would be.
She said they would make it right now and take it off the bill if I still wanted it. Of course I want it I'm starving by that time. Worst waitress in the world.
If you don't mind the crappy service, getting the wrong order or maybe not getting your order at all then this is the right place for you because the food is actually good. -

There's a lot of options, and a few for vegetarians. But I was disappointed with the whole experience. The food took too long - I get that sushi is typically slow to make but half of our party got our food late, and the other half about 12 minutes later than that. The food was ok, it really wasn't worth the wait though. We went on a Sunday afternoon *after* normal lunch time but there were several people and only one server. There were other employees but only the girl was serving. I also ordered the southern style iced tea but that was not southern style at all! It was a watered down, bland drink. Won't be coming back here.
